Zensur in der UdSSR : Archivdokumente 1917-1991
Der vorliegende Band dokumentiert auf der Grundlage von Archivmaterialien in der Originalsprache (Verfügungen des Glavlit, der Hauptverwaltung in Angelegenheiten der Literatur und des Verlagswesens, seinem Schriftwechsel mit Parteiorganen und dem KGB, Briefen von Schriftstellern usw.) die Geschichte der sowjetischen Zensur von 1917 bis 1991. Die chronologisch angeordneten Dokumente vermitteln eine retrospektive Sicht auf die kontinuierliche, systematische Vereinnahmung der Kultur durch die sowjetische Ideologie. Es wird deutlich, wie sich die Zensur von einer Kontroll- und Verbotsinstanz zunehmend zu einem Instrument der Ideologie wandelte und teilweise sogar repressiv vorging (dies belegt beispielsweise der Schriftwechsel des KGB mit dem Glavlit). Durch das Vorwort und die ausführlichen Kommentare erhalten Wissenschaftler, Studenten sowie andere interessierte Leser Einblick in die Epoche und die Verhältnisse, unter denen diese Dokumente entstanden.
This volume documents the history of Soviet censorship from 1917 to 1991 on the basis of archival materials in the original language (decrees of Glavlit, the Main Administration in Matters of Literature and Publishing, his correspondence with party organs and the KGB, letters from writers, etc.). The chronologically organised documents provide a retrospective view of the continuous, systematic appropriation of culture by Soviet ideology. It becomes clear how censorship was increasingly transformed from a control and prohibition authority into an instrument of ideology and in some cases even took repressive action (as evidenced by the KGB's correspondence with the Glavlit, for example). The foreword and the detailed commentaries give academics, students and other interested readers an insight into the era and the circumstances under which these documents were created.
